I would like to thank barryl666 from StumbleUpon for recommending I try these Firefox add-ons. After taking a careful look, I concluded they can help me a lot in improving my overall experience with Firefox. The nice thing is…the same applies to you if you use them
So take a look:
MOST USEFUL: AutoPager – Scroll Down effortlessly
![]()
If you search on Google and want ‘page 2’ to load automatically then AutoPager can help you in that. This applies also to YouTube (video results and comments), Yahoo, Bing, Amazon and many other popular sites.

USEFUL: FoxTab – Alt + Tab for Firefox
![]()
On the above picture you can see one of the nicest features of FoxTab. You press CTRL + TAB and you’ll get a window like the one above, it’s similar like pressing ALT + TAB on Windows.

3. CoolPreviews – Preview links without leaving your current page
Let’s test this on their own Firefox page!
Step 1: Position your mouse on the link. A blue button will appear:
![]()
Step 2: Now position your mouse on that blue button. The following preview window will appear:
![]()
This works for images too. Very useful and convenient! You should definitely try it out.

4. VisuWords – Find meanings of words and their association with other words and concepts
![]()
Now you know what VisuWords can do
Seeing things visually can give you a lot of insights. This is not a traditional Firefox add-on but firefox ‘search’ add-on, you can add it in the Firefox search bar on the right:

5. Ghostery – Detect software that websites use to track your behavior
![]()
In this case, Mashable uses Google Analytics, Compete and so on to track the pages you visit on Mashable, how long you stay and so on. If you want, you can easily disable this JavaScript code for that specific tracking software. If you don’t like blocking JavaScript entirely (with plugins like NoScript) then this is a perfect alternative.
